Target® helps Lakota children

Native American girls read a book in their home.
St. Joseph's can use money from this program towards books, computers, and clothing.
Since 2002, St. Joseph’s Indian School has been participating in Target’s Take Charge of Education rewards program.

In that time, friends using the program have raised over $41,700 for our school!

To participate:
  • enroll online,
  • call 1-800-341-2235, or
  • visit a Target store help desk.
Studies show education is key to overcoming child poverty.

The American Indian poverty rate is higher among families on reservations than among American Indian families in other areas (National Center for Education and Statistics).

Thanks to you and reward programs such as Target's, we are able to provide the best possible education and living environment for the Lakota (Sioux) children who attend St. Joseph's Indian School.

Native American children receive a safe, loving home environment.
Over 200 Native American children receive a safe, loving home environment and a solid education at St. Joseph's Indian School.
