Lakota (Sioux) star quilt raffle

St. Joseph's Indian School will be giving away 10 Lakota star quilts, with a total value of $4,000!

There’s no gift amount required to enter, but if you feel it in your heart to give a gift, the boys and girls would be most grateful!

We hold this special giveaway each year as a way to thank all of the kind, generous people who support the Native American children in our care. See what past recipients had to say about their quilt!

Here at St. Joseph's Indian School, some say that handcrafted Lakota (Sioux) star owinja - quilts - are far more beautiful than works of art. They represent honor, integrity and gratitude.

Today, star quilts are one of the most valued gifts of the Lakota (Sioux) people, often made for "giveaway" events such as memorial feasts, celebrations, naming ceremonies and marriages.
