Privacy PolicySt. Joseph's Indian School View our detailed online security policy As an organization serving Lakota children in an educational and residential setting, privacy is very important to us. We also respect your right to privacy and are happy to share the following policy with you. Friends who place orders, make donations, send eCards, join our eClub or request our email updates are added to our mailing list. From this information, we track transactions you have made with us so we can better meet your needs. Please contact us at 1-800-762-2162 or saintjosephs@stjo.org if you have general questions or comments. We do purchase names and postal addresses from other respected organizations. These groups have been carefully screened through The Direct Marketing Association. We encourage you to visit the information on The DMA’s policies and procedures. You can also visit the DMA's website to have your information removed from all lists. We make select portions of our postal mailing list available to carefully screened organizations. However, you always have the option to be removed from our rental list. To keep your information private, please email us at saintjosephs@stjo.org, fill out our online Communications Preference Form or call 1-800-762-2162. Because our friends are a special part of our extended family, we do occasionally receive birth dates from various persons and sources. This information is used so the children are able to send you birthday greetings. If you prefer to be excluded from this program, please email us at saintjosephs@stjo.org or call us toll-free at 1-800-762-2162. General Web Site Policies We DO NOT sell or share email addresses. Email addresses are added to our files through several means:
We do not randomly collect information on our Web site, http://www.stjo.org/. We gather general information regarding pages visited, time spent on each page and resources accessed. We do not sell or share email addresses, and we do not put email addresses on our files without indication of consent. Friends who donate online may check a box to receive email correspondence. If the email box is checked, you will be added to our list and will receive regular monthly email. If the email box is not checked, you will not receive any solicitation email from us; however, you may receive customer service email regarding your gifts, information changes, etc. Also, if you are opted in to our email program, you may receive regular email from the Akta Lakota Museum & Cultural Center, which is an outreach program supported by and located on the campus of St. Joseph’s Indian School. In dedication to serving the Lakota children to the best of our ability, we are also more than happy to honor all your reasonable wishes and instructions.
