Since 1927, St. Joseph's Indian School has been serving the needs of Lakota people through various programs on and off South Dakota Indian reservations.

Our most prominent program is our private school in Chamberlain, South Dakota.

Our school’s unique residential, group-home philosophy makes it a one-of-a-kind opportunity in the area. It is home-away-from-home to approximately 200 Native American children.

In addition to core subjects, our grade school teaches religious education and Native-American studies.

We take every opportunity to blend the cultural and spiritual values of our students in to the daily curriculum.
